I'm not free. As an artist, I live tied to an uncertain future, to the incessant search for improvement that has moral and physical barriers; longing for the definitive work, which finally defines me, hopeful of artistic maturity and clinging to constructive criticism, but at the same time determined by a society that eats mediocrity and belches glories. Listening to other people's advice, taking notes without pencil or paper of the path to follow and ignoring my ego. But above all with the heartbreaking fear that perhaps tomorrow I will have to prostitute my work.I'm not free.As a human being; because my mother explained to me that in life you had to study and be good and help others. But when I wake up every day I only see illiterate people, and bad people who help themselves. A society full of people who hate, those who are different , because of their color or sexual orientation or even because they are a woman! I don't understand how we got here? At what point along the way did we get lost to listen to music made by a rabbit? I am not free because society imposes itself with absurd tendencies, because the news is increasingly far from bringing a smile to our faces!What's happening in the world? At what point do we exchange decency for corruption and negotiate with the devil the little bit of good taste and manners that we inherit from those who are only in old photos!I am not free, because animals are murdered to dress in fur when it is not cold! because I see how they destroy the planet and with powerful telescopes they look for a new one as if ours were disposable!The heart of man lives in wars, it became cruel and is fueled by consumerism! And I am not free because I join in the waste, with hands and mind tied to a cell phone! I have many friends who wear Rolex and they don't even waste time setting their watch because the time is not what they look for in life!We run after money like immortals, losing ourselves in the short trip the only and beautiful thing that really matters, which is life, smile and family!I am not free because I know that the path will narrow even more; and even so we will walk through it with a smile made with blows of a scalpel and white gloves!I'm not free and you?
